I'm in Love with a Doughnut

Today was another day full of adventures, food, and rain.  We started off the day in rush hour traffic on the tube, with our faces in strangers' armpits, which is a charming experience, let me tell you.

We began at the Tower of London, where we took a Yeoman tour.  Then we looked at some of the different exhibits and towers, including the Crown Jewels, which were stunning.  Here, take a mini tour of the tower, led by Jen Scott, world famous un-expert of the Tower of London:

The un-expert.
Look at the cute buildings with the blue doors!
Look at the cute raven!
Look at the cute tower with the lamp post!
Look at the cute yeoman!

Look at the cute tower!
After the tour, we went to Borough Market, which was SO AWESOME!  It's one of the oldest and largest food markets in London.  And when I say old, I mean 11th century old.  But don't worry, the food is fresh.  We went around snacking on cheese, bread with oil and vinegar, and chocolate.  We bought some yummy focaccia bread and then I fell in love.  We were ready to leave the stand, when a charming British man tells us we're crazy to leave without buying a doughnut (he could tell I was eyeing one).  And darn that British accent! It is just so convincing I couldn't say no. And I was right not to. That doughnut was freaking delicious.  My friends and I let out a collective moan when we tasted it for the first time. It was that good.

This is a face of a girl in love.
Our photography assignment of the day was to make a black and white photograph with a color focus.  I chose a statue at the Tower of London.  This statue is a memorial to those who were executed at the Tower.  They added it to the tower about 8 years ago.  So here is my attempt:

Well, we'll see all of you beautiful people tomorrow!

  1. This is my third comment attempt. And they've all been hilarious, but because of stupid google, I wasn't logged in. Drat. Anyways, the main gist of all the comments were: I love you, doughnuts are delicious, you look so happy and beautiful, and I have a stomach ache...That last one would have made sense if the comments wouldn't have been deleted, but I'm trying to stick it to blogspot by not re-writing it. HAPPY CHRISTMAS, JEN!
